The Department of Diversity, Equity, & Outreach will be hosting a float for Title VI Indian Education in the Native American Day Parade happening Saturday, October 12th. We are looking to have student participation on our float. All students are welcome and if students have regalia, they are welcome to wear that! Students will be able to ride on the float or walk next to it and throw candy.
The parade begins at 10 am but the we will need students there by 9:30 am at the latest. Students must be dropped off at 2nd & Main St. in the parking lot. Students will need to be picked up by
10:45 am in the same place. Transportation to and from the parade will NOT be provided.
The day of the parade, we will check with each student to see what school they attend. The school with the most attendance and participation at our float will win a Cookie Party for the whole school from Eileen’s Cookies!
